GadgetReview 0digg V-Moda M-80 Headphones Look Indestructible, Use Memory Foam and Kevlar
These bad boys are built to last, boasting a steel frame, STEELFLEX headband, interchangeable brushed metal shields, durable microfiber suede and replaceable memory foam cushions. We’re not sure about the sound quality, but regardless these might just be the most comfortable and durable over the ear headphones we’ve got wind of. They’re also including two Kevlar-reinforced microphone cables for whatever smartphone you throw at it, in addition to an exoskeleton carrying case.
And just in case you’re skeptical about the sound quality, consider that the M-80′s feature patent-pending and biggest-in-class 40mm dual-diaphragm drivers. And unlike other headphones of a similar ilk, the M-80s us no batteries for sound isoaltion and instead rely on “on immortal acoustic techniques,” whatever that is. The last part is clearly hyperbole, but we they do say the “sound [is] analogous to Vinyl”.
And if the above isn’t enough to get you to invest in the $230 M-80s, consider the fact that they offer a lifetime replacement program that covers 50% of the cost (this seems to contradict their claim of durability) and that they’ve been tuned “by a legion of legendary musicians, producers and DJs”.
The V-Moda M80s are available now direct from V-Moda and select retailers including The Shack.
